About Our Shop

A Legacy of Trusted Auto Repair Since 1978

From a Home Garage to a Community Shop Built on Integrity

Growing up through the years of muscle cars and homemade hot rods, Ron Harris always had a passion for cars and car repair. The repair work began at home in the garage, fixing cars for friends and family. His reputation grew, and soon others were asking Ron to repair their vehicles as well.

For a number of years, he worked another job and repaired cars as a side business. During this time, he began to specialize in foreign cars—at a time when very few local shops were willing to work on them.

The first shop opened in 1978 as Leeds Auto Clinic. After a few years, the shop moved to its present location and became Ron’s Automotive. Both sons, Shane and Dennis, grew up in the business and, along with Ron, have continued to provide reliable, expert car repair with integrity for more than 30 years.

Over the years, Ron’s Automotive has been home to great employees with the same expertise and dedication, many of whom have stayed with the shop for decades. Ron has now retired, but his legacy lives on with Shane and the team, providing professional auto repair trusted across the region.
